I was very hesitant to try a new place, but really didn't want to travel to State College. The reviews here made it even harder. I am so glad I tried it. I just recieved the best pedi I've ever had. The staff was lovely and accommodating. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because the atmosphere wasn't a 5, but honestly no strip mall nail salons are ever a 5 in that area. I will be getting a fill here as soon as I need one to check those out too.
The women are always super friendly and actually acknowledge you. Their work is always top of the line and I love how they will entertain your kids with a children's movie!
This facility is dirty. I wouldn't spend my money there again. I got a gel manicure and was poorly done. I would not recommend this salon to friends.
I had gone in to get my nails filled and the lady there tore a chunk of my real nail off, then proceeded to put a new acrylic nail on top of my ripped nail as it was bleeding! That is very unsanitary and you could see the blood right through my acrylic nail. That will be the LAST TIME I get my nails done at that place and will not recommend them to anyone else either.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon! I will be turning them into the Better Business Bureau and the State Board of Cosmetology! I got married over the weekend and four of us went last Thursday around 2:00 p.m. There were no customers in the salon at the time so it's not like they were busy. The lady was mean and nasty!! She yelled at us and nicked our fingers and made them bleed and just said Oh stop complaining! She would not let us use the colors we wanted because they weren't gel and told us that we needed gel because she wouldn't guarantee the other nail polish to last a day! We told her we didn't want the upgraded pedicure and we didn't want gel and she acted like she didn't understand what we wanted and she kept repeating herself and yelling at us and we just sat there and didn't know what to do. The other employees did the same thing and insisted we get gel and then gave us the upgraded pedicure and at the end charged us an outrageous amount of money and then proceeded to yell at us and say they weren't ripping us off even though that is exactly what they did! They upgraded everything and didn't give us what we wanted. I had acrylic nails, french manicure tips, pedicure with french manicure on them and my daughter just had her nails painted with french manicure and a pedicure with nail polish and our bill was $175.00!!!! My mother just had her nails painted and a pedicure and her bill was $75.00. They upgraded everything and used the gel polish procedure even when we said no and they became angry and acted like they wouldn't do it if we wanted it the other way! The lady yelled at all of us and made the experience terrible from the start! I left crying and she knew I was upset! That is not a way to relax and celebrate a wedding and spend time with the wedding party!!
